So in listening to the radio last night, they were talking about a dumb show, Work It.  Yes it's dumb, yes it doesn't make any sense, yes it is insensitive, and yes it is a total waste of time and money. But guess what!!!!???  So where do we draw the line is the question? Was Tootsie too much? Never watched it, looked dumb to me.  What about Ms. Doubtfire? Not really, man goes to desperate measures to see his family. or The Birdcage? About cross-dressers, they are cross-dressing or gay characters, how's that offensive?
You don't have to watch it, and if only the dumb, insensitive, senseless watch it, hopefully that is not the majority of us, then it won't last. So get over it.  If you don't like it don't watch it, don't just throw a pissy fit. I don't watch Jersey shore for the same reason, problem solved.  

Then there was a tampon commercial overseas that has a cross-dresser and woman competing in the public bathroom mirror and bam, the woman pulls out a tampon and the cross-dresser storms off.  Funny... yes, dumb yes, slap-stick yes.  So what's the problem? It's insensitive, it's not PC. So? It's not really that offensive, I have no desire to use them, nor want. Sorry if you do... PS. I'm not a cross-dresser, and I doubt a cross-dresser really wants to use one either...

When do we learn to balance things out and not go to the extreme of either side? Oh wait... maybe when the government can figure it out and balance a budget!

The Day is nearly over

Another day another dollar... My brain is racing with thoughts of everything that goes on in my life. My love, my life, my finances, my dogs, my fish, my house, my friends and family... Where would I be without them? Well, some, I'd be in a better place, others not so much. :P  So, I have found a million dollars under a rock? Who wants some?

Work is nearly over

After hardly sleeping last night since the hubby was unable to sleep as well, I am so glad that the day is finally over.  I am very tired... I didn't even eat lunch, although I did snack on some crackers and sunflower seeds.  I find work to be no longer interesting nor appealing and have been diligently searching for a new job in OKC. If anyone knows of a good one, let me know.  Now, back to farming....  What if I got a loan, which is possible for farming for me, and bought some acreage, built an efficient home, and started a farm/ranch.  Well, now how much experience do I have at it? 0. But wait!  I could raise lamb(sheep) and goats for meat/wool. and even milk!  Ok, now the fun part... I have been engineering a greenhouse that will make year-around productivity worth-while, it is actually comprised of 2 very large greenhouses and an energy plant to help me with CO2, go greenhouse gases!!! But they will stay in the greenhouse and be utilized, sorry no polluting here.  I give a hoot, and try not to pollute!

Housing Situation

Love the friends who live with me, otherwise they would not be living with me. Duh! But come on.... 2 bed, 2 bath house with 3 guys, 1 girl, 5 small dogs, 1 big dog, and over 200 gallons of fish tanks... we are space strapped here and need more room!!!  So one roomie wants this house that we can get but needs to be renovated. So.... that's like another 4-6 months of cramped lack of space.... aaaaaaaaaaaaah!!!!! I'm really considering just getting another place that is appropriate and budget appropriate.  I am tired of just making ends meat, and not being able to save anything at the end of the month... Welcome to the average American....

Feedback... Big house that needs renovations takes 4-6 months?

Surgical Debates

Ok... random thoughts... obviously still trying to save money for surgery and what nots, but am still debating with the hubby on whether or not to do it in state and save 2 weeks but spend 5K+ more or go to Thailand and save 5K+ and add 2 weeks to the process and my time out of work.  He says he doesn't trust their hospitals to the ones here in the states.... I don't necessarily disagree but I also don't necessarily agree.  It depends on where, of course.  We have hospitals that are horrible here and I'm sure they have some great ones there... don't you? Suggestions? Comments... hmmm...

So I suppose people are wondering why I have started to blog... Well... simple... when crap starts to build up, it starts to stink and you need to vent it out.

Happy New Years Everyone.

So it's the beginning of a new year and I haven't decided whether to say F*** it and move out to the country and start farming/ranching or to continue my current IT career path...  New Years was uneventful.  Made dinner Friday night.  I cooked a whole Sea Bass and boiled some blue crab.  I kept myself amused at least.  As a Saltwater Aquarium enthusiast, I had a tank set up and tossed 3 of the live crabs in it to see how they'd fair. Of course i poked and prodded at them while they were in water in the sink to find the most feisty ones.  So far they're still alive 4 days later, although some are missing some appendages.  It was a nice dinner, but the hubby was unable to eat. :( sadness...  Anywho, didn't do anything Saturday or Sunday or Monday... What a slacking bum I am.  I keep trying to figure out how to make more money and then, sometimes... I think I should just become a farmer...
